Taraba NULGE President Wakili Commends Members for Support


The President of the Taraba State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Comrade Bajison Wakili, has appreciated union members for their unwavering support and prayers for the progress of the association.


He made the remarks while addressing local government workers who gathered at the NULGE office in Jalingo shortly after the Workers' Day celebration.


Comrade Wakili noted that the steadfast support of members has greatly contributed to the growth and advancement of the union. He urged members to continue praying for him and other union officials, adding that Governor Agbu Kefas remains fully supportive of the union and the welfare of local government employees.


According to him, the governor has been working tirelessly to ensure civil servants receive their due benefits. He therefore called on workers to remain committed to their duties, as the government is living up to its responsibilities.


He further encouraged staff to show respect to local government officials and uphold discipline in the discharge of their duties.


Speaking on the ongoing process of electing NULGE officials across local governments in the state, the president revealed that elections have been concluded in most areas, with only two local government areas remaining. He assured members that the process would be completed soon.


Comrade Wakili also highlighted some reforms and initiatives introduced under his leadership, aimed at repositioning the union for better service delivery.
