GOVERNOR AGBU KEFAS FLAGS OFF THE CONSTRUCTION OF 62 NEW SCHOOLS.

 






















The Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has officially flagged off the construction of sixty new schools across the state. 


During the groundbreaking ceremony at the Government Comprehensive Secondary School in Jalingo, Governor Kefas reaffirmed his administration's commitment to providing a conducive learning environment for students throughout the state. 


He emphasized that his administration prioritizes free education in outstanding facilities, ensuring that youth can compete favourably in the modern world. 


In response to questions from journalists at the event, the Commissioner for Education, Dr. Augustina Godwin, described the school construction project as a significant milestone. She reiterated that the education sector is dedicated to realizing the Governor's vision of rebuilding schools across Taraba State. 


The Chairman of the school building committee, Barrister Emmanuel Njoku, stated that the construction of the schools will be prioritized to meet the Governor's expectations. 


Additionally, Dr Agbu Kefas planted a tree at the school premises as part of the state Ministry of Environment and Climate Change's campaign against deforestation. He was supported by the Commissioner of Environment and Climate Change, Hon. Aishat Barde.


The schools are being constructed using the hydrofoam bricks technology.
