*Gov. Kefas underscores his administration's commitment to supporting private initiatives*
A private media organization has launched its multimedia digital studios in Jalingo, with Taraba State Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas underscoring his administration's commitment to supporting private initiatives.
Represented by the Commissioner of Information and Reorientation, Barr. Zainab Usman, the Governor commended Gabriel Olayinka, the owner of SUM TV, for his entrepreneurial spirit and significant hi contributions to expanding the media landscape in the state.
Governor Kefas assured that the government would create an environment conducive to attracting investors, encouraging them to explore the many opportunities available in Taraba State.
Gabriel Olayinka expressed his gratitude for the support from the state government, recalling that his journey began a decade ago with the establishment of the Taraba News online platform. He noted that his vision for SUM TV has always included ambitions for growth beyond Taraba.
During a live broadcast of the commissioning event, a panellist recognized Olayinka's entrepreneurial efforts, highlighting that he has created jobs and provided mentorship to others. The consensus among the panellists was that the government should develop platforms to empower private enterprises rather than relying on the expectation of government-provided jobs.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Alhaji Ado Mazang, the chief of Mumuye.
