MAPCA Youth Wing Kicks Off 2025 with a Successful Meeting and Leadership Transition

 

The Mambilla Progressive Cultural Association (MAPCA) Youth Wing held its first general meeting of the year on March 23, 2025, at Nukkai Primary School, Jalingo. The gathering was a resounding success, with an impressive turnout of youths from various villages across the Mambilla Plateau. The event served as a platform for discussions on youth empowerment, cultural preservation, and community development.


Adding prestige to the occasion, the meeting was graced by newly appointed Special Advisers (SAs) and Senior Special Assistants (SSAs), including:


Hon. Nicholas Nordue


Hon. Livinus Ayih


Hon. Chini Godwill


Hon. Gomden Noah Kenneth


Hon. Zebulon Langwi



These distinguished personalities commended the youth for their unity and commitment to progress. They also pledged their support for MAPCA Youths, encouraging them to continue fostering development and leadership within their communities.


A major highlight of the meeting was the election of a new executive team to steer the affairs of the MAPCA Youth Wing for the next three years. The newly elected officials are:

7. Auditor 1: Aliyu Ibrahim Mbu



8. Auditor 2: Mr. Suleiman Mohammed Kamaludeen



9. Organizing Secretary: Mr. Alfred Njilmah



10. Public Relations Officer 1: Mr. Jimmy S. Kella



11. Public Relations Officer 2: Mr. Malkija Jugah

President Elect Acceptance Speech;

A Call for Unity and Development


In his acceptance speech, the newly elected MAPCA Youth President, Mr. Zebulun Ngwip, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the association for the trust placed in him and his team. He exhorted  the need for unity, innovation, and active participation in driving youth-centered initiatives that will benefit the Mambilla Plateau and Taraba State at large.


The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from members to uphold the core values of MAPCA and work collectively towards sustainable development for MAPCA Youths, the communities they represent and beyond.
