Jatau noted that beside appointing youth into his cabinet, the governor has come out with a lot of programs aimed at empowering the youth including the free education and slashing of tuition fees by 50% to ensure that the youth can all have quality education.

He said that the K-Move was founded to ensure that the activities of the state governor receive the needed publicity and the people of the state are mobilized to key into the governor’s agenda.

“Tonight, we are all gathered as youth to celebrate the landmark achievements of His Excellency Governor Agbu Kefas in the course of this one year. This is the first time the youth in this state are doing this and it is because this is the first time a governor has shown such levels of commitment to the growth of youth in our dear state.

“You will all agree with me that this is the first time a governor has appointed so many youths as Commissioners since the creation of this state. In the course of this one year, the governor has clearly shown that he is ready to upgrade the quality of our youth in the State.

“Already, plans are underway for the revival of the male and female football teams as well as renovations of the Jalingo, Takum and Gembu stadiums. This is aimed at boosting sports activities in the State and ensuring meaningful youth engagement.

“We are also aware that the governor has graciously slashed the tuition fee of the state owned higher institutions by half, besides declaring free education for the primary and secondary schools in the State. This comes with registration of WAEC and NECO for students as well as provision of uniforms and books . This is unprecedented in the history of our dear state and that is why we just have to celebrate his one year anniversary in this grand style.

“As we celebrate tonight, let us all rededicate ourselves to contributing our own quotas to the actualization of the Five finger agenda of the governor. Let us be the kind of youth that can compete favorably in the global space. The world is going digital and we can not afford to be left behind. Let us therefore undertake course in ICT, in Artificial Intelligence and other areas that are now in vogue” he said.
