Earlier today at 10:00 a.m, Jinkam Ifraimu Bulus and team in collaboration with Franklin live visited the UMCN Orphanage home milesix for sports orientation exercise.
On arrival the team met orphans and mingled with them.
The program kick started with display of some games by the former African Badminton champion Jinkam and the children.
Thereafter,Mr. Franklin live addressed the orphans and told them about the purpose of the visit. He went further to buttress about the African badminton champion and his track records. He later invited the African champion to speak about the purpose of his visit.
Former African Badminton champion Jinkam Bulus Ifraimu introduced himself and encouraged the children to also look at themselves as champions. He spoke about the significance of sports in our lives and encouraged them to embrace sports. He further said "sport is a game and a talent if you don’t have but practice, you can make it".
He said that it is his prayer that the orphanage home would raise people that represent Taraba, Nigeria and the whole world at large.
He further says Sports offer numerous benefits, including:
1. Physical Health.
2. Mental Wellbeing.
3. Social Skills.
4. Discipline.
5. Confidence.
To encourage participation and enjoyment of sports, it's essential to have the right equipment. So he presented some vital sports equipment which include;
1.Balls (Viz are soccer, vollyball)
2. Rackets (e.g badminton)
3. Shuttle cocks
In conclusion, he promised to support sports and provide the necessary facilities and make adequate arrangements for the education of sports in the orphanage home.
