Hon. Peter Diah Tackles Access Roads
Former Speaker, Taraba State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. (DCN) Peter Abel Diah, who doubles as Member representing Mbamnga Constituency in the Taraba State House of Assembly, has commenced a road project linking communities within his Constituency.
Hon. Diah's Personal Assistant on Media, Alex Anthony, said his boss's move was meant to fulfill his campaign promises to the people of Mbamnga Constituency.
"We are at the verge of another history of keeping our campaign promises by linking the villages and communities within our Constituency and even beyond in such a way that they can be accessable by vehicle," the statement read. Taraba News has learnt that work has already begun, starting with the Gembu-Lainga road.
Many expressed their delight over the development. For instance, Genesis Nyim said, "It is rare to see political officeholders having much regard for their people. That is to say, putting their people's interest before anything else."
For his part, Emmanuel Nyam described Hon. Diah as God-sent.
"Rt Hon. Abel Diah is truly God-sent to the people of Mbamnga Constituency and Sardauna Local Government," he said.
