Taraba Commissioner of Information Visits SUM TV Multimedia Digital Studio Ahead of Commissioning


The Taraba Commissioner of Information and Reorientation, Barr. Zainab Usman, has visited the Multimedia Digital Studio of Super Media TV, popularly known as SUM TV, in the heart of Jalingo, Taraba State ahead of the commissioning of the studio schedule for netweek. She was accompanied on the unscheduled visit by the Special Adviser to the Taraba State Governor on Policy and Strategic Communications, Hon. Nelsin Dimas.


The Chief Executive Officer of SUM TV, Chief Gabriel Olayinka, who took the Commissioner around the facilities, said the project is an effort to contribute to the dissemination of information and make Taraba State popular among the community of nations. According to him, the station has been equipped with state-of-the-art digital media and TV facilities with rich content for both information and entertainment. He said work has reached 90% completion, and they intend to commission the station on Wednesday, December 12, 2025.


The Commissioner, in her remarks, commended the CEO and his team for establishing such a unique TV station. She assured the management of SUM TV of the continued patronage and support of the Kefas-led administration.


The visit also included the presentation of a gift and an award to the Commissioner for her role in the promotion of media in Taraba State, particularly Taraba News.
