Nelson Banker has Hails Taraba PDP Chairman's Reconciliation Masterstroke on Today's Politics on SUMTV

The programme anchored by Chief Gabriel Olayinka, the guest analyst Mr. Nelson Banker shed light on the remarkable achievements of Alhaji Abubakar Bawa, the new chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba State.

Since assuming office, Bawa has made significant strides in reconciling aggrieved party members and attracting opposition members from the APC to join the PDP fold ¹. Notably, his leadership led to the defection of approximately 12,000 APC members from the Lau local government area to the PDP, as well as the recruitment of Honorable Emmanuel George, a prominent opposition leader from the same area.

According to Mr. Banker, Bawa's wealth of experience, dating back to his tenure as state chairman of the National Republican Convention (NRC) in Taraba in 1991, has been invaluable to the party ¹. His leadership has brought a sense of unity and determination to the PDP in Taraba State.

Bawa who was Special adviser to Gov Darius for 8 years and also the Special Assistant to Governor Agbu Kefas on political mattersmatters. Bawa's emergence as chairman was seen as a testament to the party's unity and determination to move forward With his experience and leadership, the PDP in Taraba State is poised for a new era of growth, progress, and victorvictoryy, Hon Banker said. 

Bawa has pledged an open-door administration and an all-inclusive policy to sell the party's manifesto to the people of Taraba State His appointment has received full support from Governor Agbu Kefas, who expressed confidence in Bawa's ability to lead the party to success ¹.
