6 BRIGADE NIGERIAN ARMY EMBARKS ON INTENSIVE DRIVERS RETRAINING COURSE.

 


The 6 Brigade Nigerian Army operation whirl Stroke has taken a significant step to enhance its work work efficiency this emerge as the brigade engage on intensive training and retraining of drivers today at C2C event center Jalingo the opening ceremony took place with various security sister agencies represented/participating.  Lieutenant Colonel J. Lawal the leading resource person who gave highlights on the course said the program is comprehensively designed to expose participants on rudiments of driving and maintenance as well as earning aprest the mandatory, regulatory and other road tracking regulations the training package will last for two weeks with carefully selected topics from relevant driving and maintenance materials.To ensure effective and efficiency,well trained and qualified facilitators from other sister agency are involved and part of the training. He further encouraged the participants to put in more efforts at the course of the exercise.


The 6 Brigade Army operation whirl Stroke commander Brigadier General KC uwa in his address appreciated the executive Governor Dr Agbu Kefas for his constant support who was ably represented by the secretary to the state government Bar. Timothy Gebon Kataps, in his words the General said the Nigerian Army core supply and Transport is saddle with the responsibility of training all Nigerian Army drivers in all aspects of operation. He added that the training is geared towards ensuring proper handling of vehicles in order to save lives and mitigate against damages by lack of requisite driving skills inline with the above and to key into the vision of the Chief of staff (COAS) Lieutenant General TA Lagbaja the Nigerian Army medal which is to transform the Nigerian Army into a well trained equipped and highly motivated force toward achieving our constitutional responsibility within a join environment.He added, the training is aimed at updating participants knowledge on basic driving ethics of driving and practical driving in all weather condition and terrain. Each participant will be certified at the end of the two weeks training.

Timothy Gebon Kataps representing the Governor His Excellency Dr. Agbu Kefas, Appreciated the 6 Brigade Commander Brigadier General KC uwa for coming up with this timely idea of training and retraining drivers that works within security circle and work with in the government. this training wouldn't have come at the better time than now  this is because in time past government has noted with a alot of concern cases of accidents, cases of deliberate destroying service vehicles that are at the disposal of our drivers . He added, the Governor has prioritize security in the state thereby purchase  vehicles and distributed to the various security agencies to facilitate it's work and today this yielding positive results with the efforts of the security agencies.   


His Excellency is grateful that with in this period, the security challenges of the State has been downgraded from 95 percent to to a single digit in Taraba State today because of the coordinated efforts of security services the people of Taraba state can comfortably go to bed with their eyes closed. He stated that the Governor appreciated the security agencies, that people of Taraba state, other Nigeria who are within  the state can now go for their normal activities without fear of attack.


Souvenirs were given to the dignitaries by Brigadier General KC Uwa at the event.
