Conflicts, is a inevitable. But the way we respond to it is a choice we make. Across Nigeria, including here in Taraba State, we have seen how different whether ethnic, religious,or political can sometimes drive a wedge between communities. However we must remember that peace is not the absence of conflict, it is the ability to manage conflict constructively, to sit down together, listen to one another and seek common ground. It is on this foundation that peace is build on a dialogue, respect, and collaboration.
These values are especially crucial in a diverse state like Taraba, where different cultures, beliefs, and traditions converge.our diversity is our strength and when we embrace it we build a community where every voice matters, where every individual feels, heard and valued.
We must also recognize the tireless efforts of local peacebuilders, our traditional rulers, women, youth groups, religious leaders and society organizations who work day and night to ensure that peace remains not just an ideal, but a lived reality.
