PDP Accuses APC of Fueling Rivers State Crisis – Bala Mohammed

Senator Bala Mohammed, the Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum and Governor of Bauchi State, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of instigating the ongoing leadership crisis within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State.

Speaking during a press briefing at the Government House in Bauchi, following a meeting with members of the PDP Board of Trustees, Governor Mohammed expressed concern over the power struggle between Rivers State Governor Siminalaye Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike. He attributed the discord to a calculated effort by the APC to infiltrate PDP strongholds and create instability.

Governor Mohammed further disclosed that he had also held discussions with the PDP National Working Committee, assuring that decisive steps are being taken to restore unity within the party.

PDP Board of Trustees Chairman, Adolphus Wabara, commended the Governor's dedication to resolving the crisis. He reiterated the Board’s readiness to support efforts aimed at fostering peace, noting that the Board plans to meet with both factions to facilitate a resolution.
