GOV AGBU KEFAS PRESIDES OVER STATE SECURITY COUNCIL MEETING.

The Governor of Taraba state, His Excellency Dr Agbu Kefas, this Monday, the 12th of August 2024, Presided over the State Security Council Meeting held at the Exco Chamber Government House, Jalingo.

Dr Agbu Kefas, while welcoming the heads of various security agencies and other participants at the meeting, said it will appraise security situations in the state and strategies for the challenges ahead.

According to him, the meeting will, among other things, receive briefings from the military, police, and other relevant agencies.

Dr Agbu Kefas added that at the end of the meeting, he will also brief them about his plans for the safety of the State.

Those in attendance at the meeting include the State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Alkali, The Chief Judge of Taraba state, Justice Filibus Joel Agya, The State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Barr Yakubu Maikasuwa SAN, Secretary to the Government of Taraba State, Chief Gebon Timothy Kataps, Chief of Staff Government House, Jalingo Dr Jeji Williams, Special Adviser to Governor Agbu Kefas on Homeland security, Hon Charles Maijankai, Chairman Taraba State Council of Chiefs and Emirs and the Aku Uka, HRM Dr Ishaku Adda Ali, and heads of Various Security Agencies in the State.

The meeting then went into a closed door session.
