Hon. Sadiq Abbas Tafida, a member of the House of Representatives, has congratulated Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas, Government and people of Taraba state on the successful completion of Ramadan 2024 and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.
This is contained in a press statement signed by Ibrahim Gaddafi, Media Aid to the lawmaker.
Sadiq Tafida, who represents the Jalingo Yorro Zing federal constituency at the National Assembly, urged Muslims in the state to be steadfast and maintain the lessons learned during Ramadan.
The lawmaker stated that the Sallah period is a solemn opportunity to thank Allah and Governor Kefas, whose role in his political life has propelled him to his current position.
“I would like to thank Governor Kefas Agbu for his generous efforts in my political rise; his encouragement, dedication, and leadership gravitas were critical to my victory in the recently concluded federal parliamentary by-elections.
“I therefore urge all and sundry to support him as he leads the charge to restore the lost glory of our beloved state in all vital facets of our national life.
“As encouraged by the Holy Prophet Mohammad (SAW), I also urge us to utilize this occasion to reflect on our earthly existence, be compassionate to one another, and be our brothers’ keepers.”
Hon. Sadiq Abbas Tafida who is the Deputy Chairman of the European Union Inter-Parliamentary Committee of the House of Representatives stated that the Sallah Period is an opportunity to celebrate modestly and pray to Allah for continued grace, peace, and stability in Taraba and the country as a whole.
