Federal Lawmaker, Ayuba Zaku Facilitates Release of Convicted Kidnapper Hamisu Bala Wadume From Prison.
Hon. Ayuba Zaku Dampar, a member of the House of Representatives and former secretary to the government of Taraba State, has reportedly played a key role in securing the release of notorious kidnapping mastermind Alhaji Hamisu Bala, also known as Wadume.
Wadume, who had been on trial for various charges including unlawful dealing in firearms and escape from lawful custody, was convicted in 2022 and sentenced to seven years in prison. However, thanks to the efforts of Hon. Ayuba Zaku Dampar, Wadume has been released unconditionally.
The release of Wadume has sparked controversy and raised questions about the possible involvement of powerful politicians in the state. Some speculate that Wadume may be working on behalf of influential figures to carry out criminal activities.
The announcement of Wadume's release was made by Nuhu Ibrahim (Bloster), the personal assistant on media and publicity to Hon. Ayuba Zaku Dampar. Despite the convicted criminal's past actions, it seems that the lawmaker has used his position to facilitate Wadume's release, raising concerns about the integrity of the legal system and the role of politicians in influencing judicial decisions.
