THE HONOURABLE COMMISSIONER OF EDUCATION TARABA STATE RECEIVES TROPHIES WON BY TARABA STUDENTS AND TEACHERS IN VARIOUS COMPETITIONS, CHARGES THEM TO KEEP IT UP








The Honourable Commissioner of Education Taraba State Dr Augustina Godwin received trophies won by Taraba State students and teachers in  various competitions which earned the state a national and international recognition.


The first category were students that went to Minna, Niger State for a Hilltop Creative Arts Foundation (HCAF) Competition that produced the most valuable contestant (Male) from Taraba with many prices.


Hilltop Creative Arts Foundation (HCAF) is a non governmental organization committed to promotion of Teen Arts in Nigeria.


HCAF has branches in 27 states of the Federation. HCAF are the organizers of Hadiza Ibrahim Aliyu Schools Festival (HIASFEST) which is the Largest Teen Arts Festival in Africa which is held in Minna, Niger State every February and Taraba State had been participating in the festival since 2021.


The second category were the students that went for national sports competition in Abuja and emerged third out of the 36 states of Nigeria.


The third category was the teacher that won the State Champion Maltina Teacher Of The Year 2023 Competition.


In her goodwill message, Dr. Augustina said that it has become imperative for the Ministry of Education on behalf of the state to bring them together, congratulate them and officially say well-done to them.


She added that it is their sacrifices, resilience, doggedness and dedication that has earned the state this recognition hence the need for this thank you meeting.


The Honourable Commissioner donated a token to each category believing that the little gesture will spur them to do more and be a motivation to others.


She urged the children to always pray for His Excellency Dr Agbu Kefas being a father to all Tarabans for God's blessings and wisdom to move the state forward.


In attendance were the directors, teachers and students.
