The Special Taskforce STF Committee Members have been commended by many across the state for their tireless efforts in ensuring that the executive orders which was issued immediately when the Taskforce was constituted by His Excellency Dr Agbu Kefas the Governor of Taraba State.
The committee members are saddled with the responsibility of enforcing the executive order suspending mining activities and deforestations in the state.
The committee members are experienced persons from various security agencies in the state.
The formation was done based on their records and credibility in their various places of service, you hardly see them compromising for their personal gains.
The Special Taskforce Committee Members Chairman Retired General Jeremiah Aliyu Faransa once said that... "If anyone is found wanting while discharging the state task, that personnel will face the anger of government".
Sadly, today the operatives while discharging their daily duties arrested the following persons violating the executive order of Governor Agbu Kefas at marraraban kunini felling trees unnecessarily making charcoals.
Those arrested are:
Makong Yabung
Haggai Amos and
Manasseh Yakubu.
STF have since taken the arrested persons to police custody to be arraign tomorrow before the special mobile court chairman for prosecution.
Severally, the chairman STF has warned citizens of the state for forcefully felling trees for charcoals making.
