Purported Endorsement of Sale Sa'ad:

 


Gov Kefas has not endorsed anyone for JYZ- Emmanuel Bello


The Special Adviser to Gov Kefas on Media and Digital Communication, Hon Emmanuel Bello has dismissed the rumour going round in town that Gov Agbu Kefas has anointed a candidate for the forth coming election of Jalingo, Yorro Zing Federal Constituency.


In a post he shared on his facebook page,  the Spokesman of the Governor said "Gov Kefas has not endorsed anyone for JYZ. And if he does, it is still within his rights. But for now, he hasn't endorsed anyone"


It is believed that the statement will calm some tension,  as the town is already wash with the news that the Chairman of the Palliative committee Hon Sale Sa'ad has been endorsed by the governor for the 3rd February,2024 election of Jalingo Yorro Zing bye Election.


Saad who before now did not show any intention to  contest for the position was said to have at dying minutes  purchase the form for the election.


Many believe that the sudden decision of Hon Saad to contest may have the backing of the government,  considering his closeness with the government of the day. 


At the close of sales of forms on Wednesday, 10 aspirants of the peoples Democratic Party PDP  have already obtained their forms  from the Wada house in Abuja. 


In a similar development,  the PDP guideline for the February 3rd election indicates that candidates  are going to be chosen by adhoc delegates, Taraba News gathered that 3 adhoc delegates per ward in all the wards in the three Local governments of Jalingo, Yorro and Zing that is effected by the bye Election will be elected from a congress to be conduct on Friday this week. It is also expected that on  Saturday one National delegate  will be elected in each of the three Local governments affected.


Our source also inform us that,  The candidates will be screened on Thursday in Jalingo according to the timetable of events 


These delegates are expected on  Monday 8th of January to  elect the candidate that will fly the flag of the PDP in the election.
