A family of four who were kidnapped in Mayo Dassa community of Jalingo, Taraba State capital, have regained their freedom, while the man who delivered the ransom to the kidnappers has been abducted.
It could be noted that the said family was kidnapped from their Mayo Dassa home in Jalingo last week, including a woman whose husband owns a popular hotel in Jalingo, their two children, and a domestic staff.
The abductors released the family on Saturday, 6 May 2023 and they reunited with the rest of the family after paying the demanded ransom. However, the kidnappers held the ransom bearer. At press time, the abductors had not called the family of their new catch.
