Taraba Deputy Governor returns to Jalingo after 4-month absence



Alhaji Aminu Alkali, Deputy governor of Taraba State, has returned to Jalingo, the state capital, after an absence of about four months.


Taraba News gathered that the Deputy governor arrived at Danbaba Suntai Airport, Jalingo, in a chartered Aircraft at 1.40pm.


There were no newsmen at the airport at the time of  his  arrival because journalists were not informed ahead.


The Deputy governor, it was gathered was initially flown to Abuja for treatment for undisclosed illness and later flown to Egypt for intensive medical treatment.


The absence of a press secretary in the Deputy Governor’s team reportedly contributed to the lack of official information.


However, Mr Emmanuel Bello, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Digital Communications, confirmed Alkali’s return without offering further details.


The Deputy Governor’s extended absence had sparked speculation in political circles, though no official updates were provided during his time away.


His current health status and future public engagements remain unclear as of press time
