Taraba state International Beauty Queen Sarah Bulus, in collaboration with Supercab Nigeria and Elite-Pan Nigeria, has organized an Iftar for less privileged individuals in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital.
The event, which took place on the 25th of March, 2025, at City Mall Plaza, had in attendance less privileged individuals from across Jalingo City, alongside other Muslim faithful joining the beauty queen in breaking the Ramadan fast.
In her speech, Queen Sarah said she organized the program as part of her humanitarian gesture to support the society, particularly the less privileged individuals in it.
She mentioned that growing up, she had a taste of what it meant to be lacking. She stated that she comes from a family with a mixture of Christians and Muslims and encouraged the government to emulate such gestures to help people in society.
Additionally, speaking at the event, the CEO of Supercab Nigeria, Chief Gabriel Olayinka, said Supercab Nigeria is supporting the event because Sarah has been the brand ambassador of the company, and the company sees Queen Sarah's initiative as a laudable one. He encouraged other well-meaning Tarabans to emulate what Queen Sarah did, saying people should make efforts to give back to society. On his part, the CEO of Elite Pan Nigeria Ltd described the initiative to help people and touch lives as commendable, stating this is part of his company's corporate social responsibility to give back to society. Also commending the event was Mrs. Peter George, the wife of the Honourable Commissioner of Trade and Investment, who praised Sarah Bulus's initiative and encouraged her to continue. The event witnessed dinner and sharing of food and drinks, as all those that attended had enough to eat and drink and even take home, with those who came from far distances given transportation fees to go back home.
Many people who spoke at the event applauded the initiative, describing it as a means of uniting the two religions.
