The Governor of Taraba state, Dr Agbu Kefas, has distributed Motorcycles to the people of Gassol local government area of the state.
The Motorcycles were distributed at Mutum Biyu, the headquarters of Gassol local government area of Taraba state.
The Motorcycles distributed to the people of the Gassol local government area of Taraba state by the Governor of the state, Dr Agbu Kefas, is part of the efforts of the Governor to empower the people at the grassroots and ensure that dividends of democracy get to the people.
Distributing the Motorcycles on behalf of the Governor, the state Commissioner for Science and Technology, Hon Muslim Aruwa, said the Governor is concerned about the people of the grassroots and wants them to benefit from the dividends of democracy.
He stressed that politics should not be joined with religion as exemplified by the Governor who is running a unity government irrespective of religious and sectional differences
Muslim Aruwa took time to highlight some achievements of Governor Kefas’ administration in education, health, and other sector of the economy.
He urged the people of Gassol to support the Governor and canvass for support for his reelection.
The Sarkin Jukun Mutum Biyu, Moses Awoko Danasabe, expressed gratitude to the Governor for the provision of the motorcycle and called for more support for the Governor.
The Senator representing Taraba Central at the National Assembly, Sen. Haruna Manu, represented by the Former Chairman of Gassol, Tukura Bashir, expressed gratitude to Governor Agbu Kefas for the motorcycle distribution.
He urged them not to sell the motorcycles but to use them for the purpose intended and canvass for support for the PDP and the Governor.
In his remarks, the Chairman of Gassol Local Government Area, who spoke through the Leader of the Gassol Legislative Council, Hon Dalhatu Usman, also thanked Governor Kefas for reaching out to their community.
The event also featured goodwill messages all focused on appreciation to the Governor for the good works he is doing.
Some of the Beneficiaries of the gesture expressed their gratitude to the Governor and pledged to support him.
