Unity with the Bishop is the essential and indispensable attitude of the faithful Catholic, for one cannot claim to be on the pope’s side without also standing by the Bishop in communion with him. Nor can one claim to be with the Bishop without standing by the church.
Sir Michael Magaji on his way back to Abuja after a week long activities in his constituency stopped over in Wukari to familiarise with Our God-Loving Bishop of Wukari Diocese, His Excellency the Most Reverend Mark Nzukwein.
As a Catholic who is humbled to serve our princes, he considers it a great privilege to visit the Bishop. In his words he said, "I feel it helps me, personally, in my spiritual growth, to have the honor of respecting the leaders of our churches in this way. I am grateful for the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Wukari, Bishop Mark Nzukwein.
The times I've encountered with the Bishop, it's always just become "It's good to meet Bishop Nzukwein" and then the conversation flows from there.
