In a move that promises to redefine the banking landscape in Taraba State, SuperCash Fintech Bank, the financial arm of the Taraba Business School conglomerate, has officially launched its Automated Teller Machine (ATM) Debit Card and Point of Sale (POS) terminal. This marks a significant milestone in the bank's commitment to providing its customers with high-quality, reliable, and accessible banking services that rival those of larger national financial institutions.
With its headquarters in Jalingo and branches spanning nearly all the Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Taraba State, SuperCash is positioning itself as a leading force in financial empowerment for the region.
According to Chief Gabriel Olayinka Motunrayo, the visionary founder and CEO of the Taraba Business School conglomerate, the SuperCash ATM Card has been designed to offer the same high standards of service found in other top-tier banks across Nigeria. With features like PIN protection, national acceptability at POS terminals, and round-the-clock access to secure, convenient transactions, the card promises to elevate the banking experience for SuperCash customers.
This strategic move aligns with the bank's goal of enhancing financial inclusion and promoting seamless banking for individuals and businesses alike.
Aimed at providing even greater convenience for its growing customer base, SuperCash has also launched its POS terminal services, a tool designed not only to facilitate payments but also to foster the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) across the region.
The POS terminals will allow businesses to easily accept payments for goods and services, adding a crucial layer of convenience for both customers and merchants.
This innovation will undoubtedly play a vital role in increasing financial accessibility and promoting the use of cashless transactions, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas within Taraba State.
In December 2024, at a special event celebrating the 10th anniversary of Taraba Business School Holdings, Chief Olayinka shared his vision for the bank, revealing that the launch of the ATM card and POS terminal was part of a broader, comprehensive five-year strategic plan.
This plan, conceived to further modernize the bank's services, also includes the introduction of dispensing machines and other electronic banking channels aimed at streamlining financial transactions for its customers.
According to Olayinka, the bank's partnership with industry leaders such as Acces Matrix and IBTC Banks has been instrumental in the development and launch of the customized SuperCash ATM Card, paving the way for customers to experience a new era of banking.
He expressed deep gratitude to his team and the loyal customers whose trust and support have been pivotal in bringing this vision to life.
"I thank God for the inspiration and resources to bring this dream to reality," he said, acknowledging the unwavering commitment of his staff, as well as the bank's loyal clientele.
One of the standout features of the SuperCash ATM Card is its ability to provide customers with more than just the option to withdraw cash. The card can also be used for a wide array of services, including making purchases at POS terminals, paying for utility bills (such as DSTV and GOTV subscriptions), and facilitating a range of other financial services.
To ensure that the launch went off without a hitch, SuperCash conducted an extensive user assessment of the ATM card, testing it across several locations, including Jalingo, Takum, Zing, and Wukari.
These tests were carried out to guarantee that the card would function seamlessly, providing customers with a reliable banking tool no matter where they are located within the state.
In addition to the ATM card, Chief Olayinka proudly announced the launch of the SuperCash mobile banking app, designed to cater to the growing number of tech-savvy customers who prefer to manage their finances on the go.
The app, which can be downloaded from Google Play by searching for "SuperCash Fintech Bank," is equipped with a host of innovative features, enabling users to access their accounts, perform transactions, and stay updated on their financial activities at their convenience.
With this mobile app, SuperCash aims to bridge the gap between traditional banking services and the modern, technology-driven financial needs of its customers.
Furthermore, Chief Olayinka highlighted some of the key financial products available to SuperCash customers. These include instant salary advances, personal loans, consumer micro-leases, long-term loans such as auto loans, and Micro Business Loans.
These offerings are designed to meet the diverse needs of individuals and small businesses, providing them with the financial flexibility.
