Owing to the expiration of tenure of the current PDP Zonal Working Committee NorthEast, which is ending this month of February, the National Executive Council of the PDP in its last meeting approved the commencement of conducting a Zonal Congresses to usher in newly Zonal leadership of the Party.
To this end today being February 6th 2025, screening of these newly Zonal leadership held at the PDP Zonal Headquarter Bauchi, under the leadership of Sen. Kawu Abdullahi who is the Chairman of the screening committee formed by the National Working Committee.
In his address haven congratulated the successful screened Party members, he applaud the support of the three PDP Governors of the zone for making the screening a success, also the Zonal Party leadership represented by the Zonal Secretary Kabir Bappa for a befitting reception accorded to the committee.
It could be recalled that His Excellency Sen. Bala A. Mohammed CON Bauchi state governor and Chairman PDP governors forum had earlier announced during the just concluded caucus meeting held in Bauchi, a swapping of seats across states of the zone thus;
National Vice Chairman N/E = Adamawa.
Secretary = Bauchi
Treasurer = Bauchi
Financial Sec = Taraba
Organizing Sec = Yobe
Legal Adviser = Borno
Publicity Sec = Borno
Auditor = Gombe
Woman Leader = Gombe
Youth Leader = Taraba
In a closing remark, the Zonal Secretary also thanked in absential the commitment of the three governors of the zone headed by His Excellency Sen. Bala A. Mohammed CON for their unwavering support towards the success of all activities of the Zonal Headquarter, he also appreciated the committee for the fair conduct of the screening exercise, lastly the screened Party members for their mature coordination and reciprocative gesture all through the exercise.
