Taraba state governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas has described as terribly sad the death of 3 members of the Taraba state chapter of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE).
Dr. Kefas, in a statement, condoled with the labor union while praying for the repose of their souls.
He said the loss is felt not only by the immediate family members of the deceased but by the whole workers in the state. He noted that the staff died in active service as hard-working individuals contributing their quota to national growth, stressing that their labor was never in vain.
He further noted that his administration will continue to take workers' welfare seriously, noting that both the human capital development of workers and their statutory entitlements will continue to be in the forefront of the government.
It would be recalled that members of NULGE were involved in a road accident, claiming 3 lives. The deceased officials include Musa Ahmadi Alkali, the State Auditor; Hadiza Aliyu Barau, the Zing Chairperson; and Yakubu Tanko, the Branch Chairman.
The 3 officials were returning from an official engagement in Abuja when the unfortunate incident occurred. May their soul continue to rest in peace.
Signed
