Governor Kefas Releases More Funds To TAWASCO, Orders Immediate Supply Of Water Across Jalingo

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has taken a significant step towards addressing the water scarcity challenges faced by residents of Jalingo, the state capital. In a move aimed at ensuring the immediate supply of water across the city, Governor Kefas has released additional funds to the Taraba State Water and Sewerage Corporation (TAWASCO) .

This development is a welcome relief to the people of Jalingo, who have been grappling with water scarcity issues for quite some time. The governor's intervention is expected to boost the water supply capacity of TAWASCO, enabling the corporation to provide adequate water to meet the needs of the city's residents.

According to the Managing Director of TAWASCO, Buba Musa Siam, the corporation has resumed water supply to Jalingo residents, thanks to Governor Kefas' prompt response to the water challenge . The corporation had earlier faced challenges in supplying water due to a power outage caused by the vandalization of the Transmission Company of Nigeria's (TCN) mast on the Jos-Bauchi axis.

Governor Kefas has also demonstrated his commitment to completing abandoned water projects in the state. Recently, he released funds to complete the 5 million-litre water storage facility project in Jalingo, which is expected to increase the city's water supply capacity from 8 million litres to 28 million litres per day.

The governor's efforts to address the water scarcity challenges in Taraba State are commendable. His administration's commitment to providing clean water to the people of the state is a step in the right direction, and it is expected to have a positive impact on the health, well-being, and economic productivity of the residents.
