We will soon begin the reconstruction of Namnai bridge ~ Gov Kefas
Dr. Agbu Kefas, the Governor of Taraba state, has stated that the reconstruction of the collapsed Namnai bridge along the Jalingo Wukari highway is scheduled to commence in March 2025.
The Governor was received at the site of the collapsed bridge by the Chairman of Gasol Local Government Area and former Senator Dahiru Bako among other critical stakeholders in the area.
Shortly after inspecting the bridge, Dr. Kefas disclosed that in the month of March 2025, a company will come to assess and redesign the bridge for reconstruction.
According to him, while the construction work is ongoing, a temporary passage will be provided for motorists to allow free flow of traffic.
The Governor reiterated commitment to a durable work on the bridge that can stand the test of time.
While in Jalingo, the Governor inspected some ongoing projects, remodelling and reconstruction of the Danbaba Suntai airport Jalingo, the Green House project, and the Taraba water board, where he ordered and released funds to aid 24-hour uninterrupted water supply within the Jalingo metropolis.
The Commissioner of Aquatic and Water Management, Hon. Daniel Ishaku and the General Manager of TAWASCO, Engr. Buba Musa Siam, shed light on the Governor's directives.
