In a recent appearance on SUM TV's Today's Politics, an APC stakeholder Emmanuel Jimkuta extended an invitation to Governor Agbu Kefas to join the All Progressives Congress (APC). The stakeholder emphasized that this move would enable Taraba State to benefit more from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda.
According to the APC stakeholder, Governor Kefas has consistently demonstrated a willingness to collaborate with APC members at the state by appointing them into committees to attract investments to the state and also finding within the APC individuals who can help track projects for efficiency. Emmanuel Jimkuta views this as an opportunity for the APC to draw the governor closer to the party since he has extended a hand of friendship.
He also stated that Southern Taraba where the governor hails from is already tilted towards voting APC as shown in the last general elections with the APC winning the Senate ticket and two house of representatives tickets. It will only be natural for the governor to join the APC to meet the yearnings of his people.
The call for Governor Kefas to join the APC is also driven by a desire to restore Taraba State to its former glory. The stakeholder believes that the governor's membership in the APC would be a crucial step towards achieving this goal.
This development comes as the APC continues to promote its Renewed Hope agenda, which aims to drive positive change across Nigeria. Governor Kefas's potential membership in the APC could have significant implications for the state's development and the party's national ambitions.
