The Honourable Member representing the Bali/Gassol Federal Constituency, Hon. Jafaru Yakubu Chiroma, has sponsored a three-day training programme on mining for 65 constituents.
The training, held today, December 11, 2024, at the Nursing House in Jalingo, was conducted in collaboration with the Nigeria Institute of Mining and Geoscience, Jos, Plateau State.
At the event, Hon. Chiroma, represented by Hon. Aliyu Yakubu Chiroma, encouraged participants to share their newfound knowledge with members of their respective communities.
He highlighted the transformative power of mining, pointing to the success stories of ordinary miners who have achieved significant financial gains.
The lawmaker urged participants to pursue mining entrepreneurship, promoting self-employment and financial independence.
The training aims to empower youth and women with essential skills for mining and business development, contributing to Taraba State's economic growth.
