Mumuye Youths Visit New PDP Chairman Bawa

On the 5th November, 2024, the state PDP Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Bawa received the Leadership of Mumuye Youth Cultural Development Association on a courtesy visit at the State Party Secretariat Jalingo.

In his remarks, the National president of the Association Comrade Ezekiel Augustine Hammangabdo said;

"The Mumuye Youth Leaders today storm the PDP Secretariat to formally congratulate you Mr Chairman and the entire members of your State Working Committee on your recent victory at the just concluded PDP congresses.

"We also want to use this medium to appreciate the MOVING FORWARD administration of His Excellency the Governor of Taraba State Dr. Agbu Kefas for uplifting two of our Illustrious sons to the position of Deputy Governor and Speaker of the House of Assembly.

"This is the first time in the history of the state that both the number two and three men in the state are coming from the same tribe and locality; both the Deputy Governor HE Alhaji Aminu Alkali and the Speaker House Assembly Rt. Hon. John Kizito Bonzena are our Mumuye brothers from Zing Local Government.

"We are soliciting with the PDP State Working Committee to carry the Mumuye Youths along in all party activities as well as consider us with the party's ticket to be represented at the National Assembly in 2027 general elections.

"We want to finally appeal to the leadership of the party in the State to intervene in the perceived internal crisis within the PDP in Yorro Local Government." He concluded.

On his part, the State PDP Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Bawa described the Mumuye Nation as a Peace Loving People and enjoined all Tarabans to always emulate their Calmness and Tranquility in the interest of Progress and Development.

He further maintained that it is our responsibility as citizens to always create a peaceful atmosphere for ourselves, the government can only compliment our efforts in that aspect.

With meaningful peaceful co-existence among us, the government will always channel all the usual spent resources on security for development instead; this will improve our economy and transform the lives of our People.
