GOVERNOR AGBU KEFAS COMMISSIONED MORGUE AT FEDERAL MEDICAL CENTER JALINGO

 



Governor Agbu Kefas has officially commissioned a new morgue at the federal medical center Jalingo. He commissioned the morgue at  FMC with called for proper management of the facility. 


This facility aims to enhance the health care infrastructure in the region, providing necessary service for the community. The addition of the morgue is expected to improve the management of deceased individuals, enduring dignity and proper handling, which is vital for public health and welfare. During the commissioning event, Governor Kefas emphasized the importance of modern healthcare facilities in addressing the needs of the population and pledge continued support for health initiatives in the state. The new morgue is anticipated to serve not only federal medical center but also surrounding areas. Improving overall healthcare service.

The development marks a significant steps in Taraba State and reflects the bettering health service for its citizens.


At the event General TY Danjuma said it was a personal experience involving one of his workers that caused it. Narrating the experience, General Danjuma said, Barrister Dan Agbu mother died and was brought here. He was out of the country. When he returned to see his mother's corpse,he found a dilapidated morgue with bodies littering the place. It was a terrible experience. When we met, he narrated his gruesome experience to me. That's when i said i will commit to changing the narrative. With my other worker, Joshua, we were able to swing into action and build this mortuary.


In his remarks on Thursday during the commissioning, General Danjuma said the management of the hospital must maintain the structure and equipment which he said are amongst the best in the industry.
