Excitement as Gov. Kefas begins payment to Taraba College of Agric staff
It was a moment of joy and happiness for staff of College of Agriculture, Science and Technology Jalingo who where employed by the administration of Gov. Darius Ishaku when they begin to receive alert on Friday 6th September,2024.
Taraba College staff had earlier send SOS to Gov Kefas over unpaid remunerations.
Some staff of the Taraba State College of Agriculture, Science and Technology pleaded with the state governor, Agbu Kefas, to come to their rescue by commencing the payment of their long-overdue monthly remuneration.
The staff, who were employed in 2022, have not been remunerated once since their employment nearly two years ago.
One of the staff who spoke to Taraba News, Miss Sarah Auta thank Gov. Kefas for his fatherly role she expressed their frustration and depression over the non-payment of their salaries since joining the institution saying relief has come to them and their family.
We asked for the governor’s intervention and he came to our rescue, we are happy and grateful she said
"We did not blame the governor for our predicament, because we where not employee during his tenure we where optimistic that if the call gets to his table, he will reach out to us and he truly did" another staff told our correspondent
“We let our father, Governor Agbu Kefas, know that since 2022, when we were employed as staff of the Taraba State College of Agriculture, Science, and Technology, Jalingo, we did not received any salary and our father the Gov. hear our cry and wipe away our cry
"We appeal to Kefas, as a father and a man of God who has shown love for the civil servants, introducing ideas that would redefine the civil service of Taraba for the better, and he commenced our payment, this has ease our suffering,” another staff said
