In a recent events, Taraba News in the bid to honour the exemplary achievements of government officials, particularly the Commissioners under Governor Agbu Kefas' administration, presented awards to some categorized as the best performing Commissioners. The awards were presented to these members of the Taraba State Executive Council who have demonstrated dedication and commitment to their duties, making significant contributions to the development of Taraba State.
Dr. Augustina Godwin, Commissioner of Education, Barr. Zainab Usman Jalingo, Commissioner of Information and Orientation, Dr. Filister Irarimam Musa, Commissioner for Social Justice and Reintegration, were among the recipients of the prestigious awards. They all expressed gratitude for the recognition and emphasized their commitment to serving the people of Taraba State.
Dr. Godwin the Commissioner of Education said she was not performing sincerely so as to be noticed, she mentioned how she was nominated and appointed into office without any connection so she has no alternative than to work assidously to justify the confidence repose in her by Governor Agbu Kefas.
She also maintained that she least expected that any appraisal would figure her out as the best performing Commissioner fo all she was doing was in Service to God and to humanity.
Similarly, Dr. Filister Irarimam Musa, the Commissioner for Social Justice and Reintergration mentioned how she realised the task ahead as she was assigned to man the newly created ministry whose main focus is to ensure social justice and reintergrating the state's residents. She mentioned how she was overwhelmed by the opportunity to serve her fellow Tarabans and that is how she ensured that no stone was left unturn in pursuance of the goals and objectives of the Dr. Agbu Kefas led adminstration concerning the new Ministry. Though she least expected that she would be listed amongst the best performing Commissioners, she was sure that she has been giving in her best in view of the prevaling scenario and thank the TarabaNews press house for taking note of her little contributions towards the development of the state.
Barrister Zainab Usman Jalingo, Commissioner for Information and Orientation, also received an award for her efforts in ensuring transparency and communication between the government and the public. She highlighted the importance of collaboration with the media in disseminating information about the state's development initiatives. While expressed gratitude for been listed amongst the best performing Commissioners, she believes every good service is onto the creator firstly, should the creator choose to glorify her via the hands of TarabaNews, then Alhamdullilah, she considers that a welcome development. She call on all patriotic Tarabans to take advantage of every opportunity given to them, in less regards of how small or big, and make Taraba State a better place, highlighting that her motivation when she assumed office was premised on the forgoing; she revealed how upon assumption of duty, delves into fashioning ways towards making the policies and direction of the governnment public by involving all the stake holders, not only at the state level but also at the national and international level by partnering with press houses to help dessiminate information about the state and the good effort of the government towards bringing about sustainable development in the state. Barrister Jalingo's drive is service towards reaching the Taraba State of her dreams as streamlined in the policies and goals of the Dr. Agbu Kefas' led administration.
The events, slated to continue subsequently for the remaining nine (9) Commissioners who have performed above board has showcased the dedication and hard work of the Commissioners in their respective ministries, highlighting their role in making Taraba State a better place for its residents.
