NYSC Director Urges State Government to Fix Vandalized Electricity Connection at Camp

 

The Taraba State NYSC Director, Mr. Ella Aji Williams, has brought attention to the urgent need for the state government to address the issue of a vandalized electricity connection at the NYSC camp in Sibre, Jalingo. During a visit to the Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS) office, Mr. Williams highlighted the challenges faced by the camp due to the damaged electricity cables.


In response, the SGS, representing the administration of Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas, reiterated the government's commitment to supporting NYSC members and ensuring their safety and well-being. Chief Gibon Timothy Kataps Ngwii reassured the NYSC Director that the state government will prioritize the repair of the vandalized electricity cables to restore power to the camp.


Mr. Williams emphasized the importance of a functional electricity supply at the NYSC camp for the comfort and security of corps members serving in Taraba State. He called for immediate intervention from the state government to rectify the situation and provide a conducive environment for the corps members.


Additionally, during the meeting, the latest edition of the NYSC magazine was presented to the SGS, showcasing the activities and accomplishments of corps members in the state. The presentation served as an opportunity to demonstrate the value and impact of the NYSC program in Taraba State.


The collaborative efforts between the NYSC Director and the state government signify a commitment to addressing the needs of corps members and improving their overall experience during their service year. The assurance from the SGS Chief reflects a positive step towards resolving the electricity issue and enhancing the welfare of NYSC members in Taraba State.
