In a recent interview with Gift FM Correspondence Tachia Joseph at her office, 21/06/2024. The Honorable Commissioner of Education Dr. Augustina Godwin expressed her surprise at being recognized as the best performing Commissioner under Governor Kefas's led administration and first year in office.

She attributed her outstanding success to the unwavering passion she holds for her work, particularly emphasizing her deep-rooted love for children, a driving force behind her commitment and responsibilities as the Commissioner of Education.

During the interview, Dr. Augustina shared her perspective on the award, highlighting that it serves as a motivation for her to strive even harder in her role. 

She emphasized the importance of living up to the expectations that come with such recognition, quoting the proverbial saying, "to whom much is given, much is expected."

She also reflected on the essence of leadership, stating that it is fundamentally about sacrifice. She stressed the need for leaders to be willing to make sacrifices for the greater good, demonstrating dedication, commitment, and selflessness in their service.

"When you have a genuine passion for what you do, it reflects in your performance," Augustina stated. She also maintain that her love for children has been a guiding light throughout her journey, propelling her to strive for excellence in all endeavors.

Recall that the CEO of Taraba News, Mr. Olayinka Gabriel, along with his team, honor Dr. Augustina Godwin with an Award as the best performing Commissioner of the year 2024.

Acknowledging the crucial role of inspiration in her journey, Dr. Augustina credited Governor Kefas as a significant source of motivation to her performance, according to her, Governor Abgu Kefa's leadership inspired and motivated her to excel in this role.

She also underscore the invaluable support of her dedicated team within the ministry, emphasizing the collaborative effort that has contributed to her accomplishments.

Dr. Augustina Godwin noted that the grace of God has been her rock, empowering her to overcome challenges and persevere in the Ministry of Education Taraba State. 

She expressed gratitude to Governor Agbu Kefa's stable leadership and thanked him for the opportunity to serve as the Hon. Commissioner of Education Taraba State and promised to justified the mandate bestowed on her.
