HER EXCELLENCY, THE WIFE OF THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF TARABA STATE ATTENDED CHILDREN'S DAY CELEBRATION ORGANIZED BY JALINGO LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL

 

Children's Day celebration in Jalingo Local Government Council was a beehive of activities as children engaged in various sporting events such as sack race, bottle race, football, and more.

The Executive Chairman, Hon. (Dr) Aminu Jauro Hassan, had earlier organized an inter-primary schools football competition, which culminated in the finals today as part of the Children's Day festivities.

The unprecedented event brought together a significant number of schools and was attended by top government functionaries, politicians, and technocrats from across the council. Notable among the dignitaries was the wife of the Governor of Taraba State, Mrs. Agyin Agbu Kefas. She expressed her delight with the event and appreciated the Local Government for organizing such an impressive show to honor the children, who are the leaders of tomorrow and the foundation of our society.

While appreciating all who attended, the Honorable Chairman thanked Her Excellency and other dignitaries for gracing the occasion with their presence. He stated that the lineup of events and the competition were all aimed at supporting the five-finger agenda of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Taraba State. He encouraged everyone to take advantage of the free education declared by the Governor across the state.

Other speakers lauded the Chairman's efforts towards reinvigorating Children's Day celebrations and promoting sporting activities within the Council.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of prizes by Her Excellency to deserving schools and pupils who performed outstandingly in all the competitions.
