GOV AGBU KEFAS TASKS BELIEVERS TO LIVE A LIFE OF FORGIVENESS, CONTENTMENT & LOVE

The Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas was this Monday in Lufu community of Takum local government area of the state to witness the funeral ceremony of the Younger brother of the CRC-N President and CAN Chairman of Taraba State, Rev Dr Isaiah Magaji Jirapye.


In his condolence message at the gathering, Dr Agbu Kefas stressed the need for people to live a life of contentment, forgiveness, and love as the key to pleasing God.


He described life as a gift with an expiry date hence the need for people to live with the consciousness of departing the world one day.


He said he was at the programme because of his closeness with Rev Dr Isaiah Magaji Jirapye, describing him as a dependable fellow.


He urged the family to take solace in the fact that the deceased lives an impactful life.


In his Sermon at the funeral, the Rev Ezekiel Agyose, the Chairman CRC-N RCC Gayama who took his text from Hebrew 9: 27, and captioned his message "Life is a Gift with an Appointed End" explained that death is inevitable hence the need for people to live with the consciousness of eternity in view.


He urged the people to strive to maintain their faith and stand in Christ Jesus as life has an appointed end.


He noted that Jesus Christ brought salvation to mankind and urged people to embrace Christ Jesus to enjoy His salvation to meet Christ in heavenly places in the hereafter.


The CRC-N President and CAN Chairman of Taraba State Rev Dr  Isaiah Magaji Jirapye, an elder brother of the deceased thanked the Governor for honouring the family with his presence at the funeral and also thanked him for his quick response during the sad accident that claimed the lives of three WOWICAN members while descending the Mambilla Plateau hills after their conference in Gembu recently.


He equally praised the Governor for the impact he is making in his leadership of the state.


There were condolence messages from dignitaries and church leaders at the funeral.


The deceased, Late Hon Josiah Magagi was born into the family of Late Da'a Magaji Kunga in Lufu in Takum local government on the 5th July 1970.


He passed on on the 16th of May 2024 after a brief illness at Gboko, Benue State. 


He was the state Chairman of Taraba state Madrid and Timber Buyers Association, the position he used to champion tree planting campaigns in some local government areas of the state.


He is survived by his wife, Children and his Elder Brother the CRC-N President and CAN Chairman of Taraba State.
