The Honourable Commissioner of Education Taraba State, Dr Augustina Godwin received a merit award from the Legislative Writers Forum, National Assembly Abuja.
The event took place in her office at the Sani Abacha's Secretariat, Jalingo, Taraba State today 15th February, 2024.
Presenting the award by the leader of the delegation who doubles as the Organising Secretary Dr. Apeh Ketim A, said that the awardee deserved this huge award following her track record in working tirelessly to ensure that free and quality education declared by His Excellency Dr Agbu Kefas is implemented and sustained for the benefits of tarabans adding that her style of leadership, commitment to work and service to humanity is worthy of emulation.
Responding to the Pan African forum, Dr. Augustina, thanked the forum for finding her worthy of such honour and that the award will spur her to do more.
Again, the Honourable Commissioner appreciated His Excellency Dr Agbu Kefas for giving her the platform to serve tarabans noting that she cannot afford to fail His Excellency and tarabans even for investing such a level of trust in her.
Giving his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, of the ministry, Idris A. Goje used the opportunity to heartily congratulate the first female and powerful commissioner, adding that she deserved the award following her remarkable achievements thus far as commissioner.
He commended the governor His Excellency Dr Agbu Kefas for doing so much in implementing the free and quality education to tarabans while praying that the almighty guides him and gives him more wisdom in piloting the affairs of the state.
Those in attendance were the directors and some staff of the ministry.
