Gen. Faransa led Task force Visits Karim Lamido

 





Retired General Jeremiah Aliyu Faransa led Special Taskforce Committee Members visit Karim Lamido Local Government Council, Paid Homage to Chief of Wurkun Alh. Yakubu Haruna Kirim. 


The people of Karim Lamido Local Government Area have been advised to live in peace with one another in the interest of development.


Chairman special taskforce committee on suspension of mining activities in the state retired General Jeremiah Aliyu Faransa stated this when he was in the area on advocacy visit suspending mining activities in the state.


The retired general said immediately when Governor Agbu Kefas was inaugurated on twenty ninth may, twenty twenty three, he swiftly established special taskforce committee members who were bestowed with the responsibility of enforcing executive order number three and later five suspending mining activities and woods logging in the state.


General Faransa added that him and his members have gone round the sixteen local government areas to sensitize the people of the state on the dangers of illegal mining which has adverse negative effects coming from it toxic.


Faransa averred that internal control mechanism must be put in place urging the local government council to set up a local security committee that could tame the excesses of illegal miners in the area.


Responding, the chairman Karim Lamido Local Government Bitrus Danjos who was represented by the vice chairman Isa Musa said they are overwhelmed for the visit of the special taskforce committee members to Karim Lamido promising to abide by the executive order of Governor Agbu Kefas suspending mining activities in the state.


Bitrus Danjos added that Governor Agbu Kefas administration and people orientated policies will be fully supported by all and sundry hence his quality leadership style.


Similarly, the special taskforce committee members have paid a visit to the chief of wurkun Yakubu Haruna Kirim in Karim calling on the paramount ruler to work toward uniting the waring factions.


Retired General Faransa said peace is key in the development of every society advising the chief of wurkun to consider peaceful coexistence as a catalyst for development.


In his remarks, the chief of Wurkun Yakubu Haruna Kirim his chiefdom will do everything possible to unite the people of the area adding that already Governor Agbu Kefas has issued them with the directive suspending mining activities in the state.


He promised to work accordingly in the interest of peace and development of the area.


Yakubu Haruna Kirim appreciated Governor Agbu Kefas for appointing retired general Faransa as chairman special taskforce saying that positive result will be felt with retired general Faransa.


Yakubu Haruna prayed God to bless governor Agbu Kefas.
