The Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Alhaji Aminu Alkali has condolences with the families of those affected by the recent boat accident in Karim Lamido.
During the visit, Mr. Suleiman A. Nicholas, the Area Manager of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) in Taraba State, provided a detailed briefing on the incident to the Deputy Governor. In response, the Deputy Governor promptly issued instructions to remove all obstructions along the waterways, which had been put in place by fishermen. This decisive action aims to improve transportation and enhance accessibility and safety in the riverine communities.
The Deputy Governor's delegation included the Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon Savour, Hon. Anas Shuaibu, Member Representing Karim 2 Dr. Mike Dio, Jen, Member Representative Karim 2, Hon. UBA Mairiga Jalingo 2 Hon. Barr. Zakari Sanusi, and the Permanent Secretary, among others.
