THE Taraba state Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas has joined hundreds of eminent Nigerians, as Warri-based business mogul, High Chief, Engr Kestin Pondi on Sunday organized a birthday bash for his beloved wife Chief Mrs. Blessing Pondi.
The colourful birthday party also had in attendance the Governor of Delta state, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, National and State Assembly members, and other associates in the country.
High Chief, Engr Kestin Pondi is the Managing Director of Tantita Limited; a security and oil services company, who has remained a close ally of Governor Kefas over the years.
Dr. Agbu Kefas has had a long-standing cordial relationship with the people of the Niger Delta as his extensive network of association with them helped to actualize the amnesty program of late president Umaru Yar'adua.
The Governor described his affinity with the people of Warri as fruitful, positive, and helpful urging Tarabans to reach out and build a network of friends across the length and breadth of the country.
Dr Agbu Kefas since taking over as Governor continued to leverage this friendship with influential Nigerians and entrepreneurs, cultivated over the years to attract investment to the state and this trip is one such initiative.
High Chief, Engr Kestin Pondi described Dr Agbu Kefas as one of their own given the sacrifices he made in assuaging youths of the area to stop militant agitation for resource control.
He encouraged Tarabans to support the Governor to realize his laudable policies and programs that will transform the state into an enviable position.
The Governor's entourage includes the Hon. Member representing Kurmi constituency, Dr. Tafarki Agbadu, the Hon. Commissioner of Information and Reorientation, Barr. Zainab Usman Jalingo, and that of Environment and Climate Change, Mrs. Aishat Abdulazeez Barde, and other political associates.
The visit is also an opportunity for the Commissioner of Environment to appreciate and understudy the negative effects of mining on habitats of the Niger Delta and how to avoid same in Taraba state.
Prominent A-list Nigerian artists like Peruzi, Teni, Kizz Daniel, and a host of comedians among others thrilled guests on the occasion.
