The PDP National Campaign Council for Bayelsa State Governorship Elections 2023 under the chairmanship of the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas has held its inaugural meeting.
The meeting which was held at the Wadata House Abuja also featured the inauguration of the campaign council sub-committees.
Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the campaign council, Dr. Agbu Kefas said it is the responsibility of everyone in Bayelsa to ensure that the PDP retains the Governorship position.
He said the PDP campaign is not just a mere quest for power but a commitment to transformative leadership that fosters growth, unity, and equity.
Agbu Kefas said Bayelsa's potential is huge and that with the forthcoming election, the state stands at another threshold of history, stressing that the PDP campaign will be issues-based as its policies are geared towards the aspiration of the people.
While identifying the giant strides of the Duoye Diri administration, Dr. Agbu Kefas told the people to expect more if the Governor is reelected.
He urged the people to promote an environment of collaboration, where innovative ideas would flourish for the Party to achieve its purpose.
He called for the support and cooperation of the Bayelsa people and assured them that the party would be victorious again.
In his remarks, the Governor of Bayelsa state, Douye Diri expressed confidence in the capacity and competence of the Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas; the Leader of the campaign council, and commended the efforts of the PDP national Secretariat towards his reelection bid.
He urged the council to be up and doing and never to undermine the opposition party in the state.
