PDP executive committee members in Taraba led by the party's Chairman Abubakar Bawa, has visited the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Gebon Kataps, the Ngwii of Mambila.
In his remark, the Chairman congratulated Chief Kataps, saying his appointment as SSG was the best thing that has happened to Taraba State.
Bawa described Kataps as a square peg in a square hole.
He pledged the support of the party for his success, while describing the SSG and the governor as party men. At this juncture, he said he believed the party would be given its rightful position in this administration.
Responding, the new SSG, Chief Gebon Kataps thanked the party's State Executive Council for the prompt visit and promised to hold the party in high esteem, while always carrying the party along in all its affairs. The SSG, therefore, called on party officials in the State to be up and doing, to ensure that the new administration delivers on its mandate to the people.
"I am ready to work tirelessly to support the governor and bring to bear his wealth of experience," Kataps says.
He added that by 2027, no candidate would contest with Agbu Kefas because of so many developmental efforts that would come to the
State.
