President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn in five new Permanent Secretaries (Perm Secs) into the Federal Civil Service, including Taraba State-born Mr. Richard Pheelangwah.
The beneficiary Perm Secs were sworn in on Wednesday, 26 April 2023 at the Council Chambers of the State House in Abuja, just before the April Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
Before his appointment as Perm Sec, Mr. Richard Pheelangwah had moved up the rungs of the professional ladder.
He was born on 21 April 1967 in Jen, Karim Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State. He attended Ahmadu Bello University Zaria where he graduated with a Bachelor and Master of Arts Degrees in English Language.
He started his career in the Federal Civil Service in April 1996 as an Administrative Officer I in the Ministry of Solid Minerals. He has also worked in the Ministries of Health, Aviation, Education, Office of the First Lady, as well as the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
He was promoted Director in 2021.
