The Governor of Taraba state, Dr Agbu Kefas, has received the torch of unity presented to him by the officials from the National Sports Commission ahead of the forthcoming national sports festival.
Receiving the torch of unity at the TY Danjuma House Jalingo, Governor Agbu Kefas assured the officials of his administration's continued support for sports development.
He further lauded the efforts of the officials in fostering national unity through sports and wished them well as they continued their activities.
Earlier, while making the presentation, the Leader of the delegation, Mrs Ikana Mbora, said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially flagged off the National Sports Festival, scheduled to be held in May 2025 in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
She explained that the torch of unity is what they used to create awareness and further unity through sports.
Adding that by the presentation of the torch, the state is officially invited to the festival.
