CRIMES: Chairman YOWICAN Northeast Zone Evangelist Ephesian Jesse calls for concerted effort to contained drug-induced vices in Jalingo.

Security personnel in Jalingo Metropolis have been asked to intensify effort to contain drug-induced vices in the metropolitan.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Chairman Youths Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria YOWICAN Northeast Zone Evangelist Ephesian Jesse (JP).

The Statement condemned increase in drug-induced robbery and rape incidents in Jalingo.

The statement partly reads' The Youths Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN North East Zone is appalled by the recent surge in drug-induced robbery and rape incidents targeting tricycle commuters in Jalingo,the state Capital.

It added that these heinous acts, often carried out in a broad daylight is a stark reminder of the depths of moral decay in the society.

Evangelist Ephesian was quoted saying " We condemn theses acts in the strongest possible terms and urged the authorities concern to take immediate action to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

The statement called on youths across the states of the Northeast Zone to shun such evil practices but instead promote values of compassion,emphathy and respect for human life.

It also urged stakeholders including security agencies, community leaders, youths organisations,and religious leaders to work together to prevent such incidents and ensure the safety and security of all.
