The Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, hosted individuals living with disabilities, the less privileged, as well as Tsangaya tutors and pupils for the breaking of Ramadan fasting (IFTAR) in Jalingo, Taraba State.
During the gathering, Dr. Agbu Kefas urged the Muslim Ummah to pray for their leaders and encouraged interfaith relations as a means to foster peace, unity, and prosperity in Taraba. In keeping with his philanthropic spirit, the Governor also donated rice and other food items to the attendees.
Prayers were offered for the Governor, and the Chairman of the Tsangaya expressed gratitude for the Governor's humanity, humility, simplicity, kindness, and compassion.
He commended the Governor for promoting peaceful coexistence and harmonious living among the people of Taraba State through his initiatives focused on peace, unity, prosperity, and growth, as well as for providing 'Free Education' for their children.
The IFTAR was attended by various dignitaries, including the Head of Service, the Secretary to the Government of the State, the Chief of Staff, and the Commissioners for Information, Energy, Justice, and Youths and Sports. Additionally, the Majority Leader of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Hon. Jethro Yakubu, Hon. Veronica Alhassan, who represents the Bali I Constituency, and other members of the Taraba State House of Assembly were also present.
