The Executive Chairman Taraba State Internal Revenue Service (TIRS) Brig. Gen. Jeremiah Aliyu Faransa (Rtd) and the Board Members on Wednesday 5/3/2025 played host to the Nigeria Army Resource Centre (NARC) at the TIRS headquaters Jalingo.
Team leader of the NARC Gen. Dahiru said they were on an official tour in Taraba State and their purpose of visit to the TIRS was to find out how the Service support the Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs).
The Executive Chairman of the TIRS in his remark highlighted the achievements of the Service since their assumption to office in June 2024.
He said the TIRS is doing everything possible to encourage SMEs and other businesses to thrive in the State and attributed the successes and achievements of the Service to the support received from His Excellency, the Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas.
Faculty Members of the NARC in their separate remarks commended Gen. Faransa and the Board Members for their remarkable achievements in boosting the IGR and good leadership.
Responding to questions from the faculty Members of the NARC, Board Members of TIRS said the Service is working round the clock to harness all revenue sources, ensure aggressive tax education, and stakeholders engagements.
Highlight of the visit was the cross fertilization of ideas and suggestions on how to encourage the informal sector in their businesses and SMEs to access grants and support to grow their businesses. Also, a special award was presented to the Executive Chairman.
