Every Taraba state citizen has reasons to be proud thesedays. Our dear state is constantly in the news for very good reasons. Unlike in the past when internecine skirmishes and all sort of security breaches where our hall mark, today the state has enjoyed vibrant rebranding. Various polls showed that Taraba state is now taken more seriously in corporate Nigeria with many interests giving it more than a passing glance.
Here is why.
1. Good governance: Dr. Agbu Kefas has restored faith in governance. His serious, direct, humble style has earned him the admiration of both colleagues and interested parties. This was lacking before when the leadership couldn't be trusted.
2. Robust opportunities: Taraba is practically still a virgin horizon in all sectors waiting for exploration and exploitation.
3. Security: Taraba state is perhaps the most secured state in the North East region right now. The Governor, a tough retired intelligence officer himself, is directly involved in ensuring that his domain is trouble free. He matches his bulldog bark with a bite, making the atmosphere unsafe for troublemakers.
4. Foreign investments: never in the history of Taraba state has any other governor travelled the length and breadth of the globe to engraft the state with the rest of the world. This interaction is laying a foundation that will prosper the state beyond measure.
5. Youth involvement: with a very young population, the administration has tapped into the most valuable energy known to mankind: youth power. Whether in entertainment, entrepreneurship and other creative industries, Taraba youths are now in charge of their destiny, thereby making the state very viable, positively disposed and developmental oriented.
